Default Leaking Radiator - stuffed trans!

Hi All,

We have a 1998 3.3 Voyager, I suspect the "trans cooler" coil pipe in radiator has corroded and as a result we now have water in trans and trans fluid in radiator. Wagon will drive about 50 metres and then just slip and whine like a wench!

I had wagon towed to Tans specialist who advises that trans is stuffed and requires rebuild $6k NZ which equates to about $4k US.

1- Will a service and flush fix problem or is trans truely stuffed?
2- Can anyone recommend a US site to provide and ship a 2nd hand trans or rebuilt unit to down under?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
