Replacing Windscreen Washer Motor
Was told the other day I needed a new motor to correct the instant drop in pressure I am experiencing when 'requesting' water.
Dealer Quoted £150 + £60 labour :/ but... got one from a local scrap yard delivered for £30 (coming Tuesday).
Question is how hard is this item to remove/fit for a novice. Should I take it to my local mechanic to fit?
Thanks.

Nobody here knows your toolbox and abilities better than you. When the part arrives, take a look at it and compare it to the one in place. You should be able to figure out how it's held in there and how it comes out. If you think you and your toolbox are up to it, have at it.
Typically, with any repair, removing the old part is the problem. Installation is usually much easier because these things are designed to be installed in a matter of seconds in the assembly plant. If you can get the old one out, you are 75% done. And if you wreck it getting it out, no big deal. Just don't wreck what it's attached to.

I think you are in the UK so remove the splash guard on the drivers side front wheel.
Just trying to remember, I think if you remove the screws on the wheel arch lip you can flex the splash guard enouh to remove the pump. The pump is right in front of the front wheel behind the black plastic shield. It just pulls out from the washer resovoir, be gentle, the plastic will be brittle in this weather, might want to warm it up with a heat gun.
I think you are supposed to replace the rubber grommet that the pump fits into I didn't and it didn't leak.
Should take about 15 minutes.
Hope this helps.
