soft brake pedal but car stopping ok
Here's a weird problem.
A couple of months ago, I had to brake hard and immediately after the brake pedal would travel softly when pressed, braking would be slower but still effective as pedal reached towards end of travel. Not an ideal situation.
The next day, the problem was gone.
Earlier this week, I had to brake hard again and voila... same problem again. Only this time it has not gone away.
Could it be the rear brake aduster (hand brake has to be pulled up 6 clicks before car is secure - used to be 3 clicks). I'll adjust that now, but would welcome any thoughts.
My rear dum parking brake setup is as follows - note there is no cylinder at the top pushing the pads, it seems cable driven only:
If anyone has the brake service section for the 2004 Chyrsler Voyager... please post pdf. I have a 2002 Voyager with 2004 rear brakes.... !!
thx. kkc.

It could be your brake assistance scheme, the old way was by vacuum assistance from the inlet manifold, in which case I'd say look for leaks in the vacuum reservoir, but this vehicle is prob. different. It's an area worth checking though. Also check power steering fluid, some schemes use that for brake power assistance.
