Default where is cabin filter??

Hi,

I have a 2007 chrysler town and country with about 40000 miles and i have never changed the cabin filter. The main reason being that i can't seem to find it. I have looked behind the glove box and under the glove box. Does this model come with a cabin filter? any help would be appreciated.

thank you

Its there under the dash on the passenger side under glove box near center of vehicle. There is a rectangular cover.. maybe 2" wide buy 8-10" deep. You slide the cover toward the rear of the vehicle and then pull it down. The filter is up in there and you need to pull it down when you get the cover off. The new one should have an arrow on it indicating flow direction, the arrow points toward the middle of the car. I bought my T&C used an previous owner had the filter in the wrong way.

Hope this helps

I opened up the glove box and didn't see anything rectangular. I know that you said that its towards the center of the vehicle but the only way that i would be able to see the center of the vehicle is if i remove the glove box along with the entire plastic cover. is this what i would have to do to get to the cabin filter??

thanks

Sorry you misunderstood. It is under the box. Get you head on the floor and look up under the dash.

I looked and even removed some of the panel and i don't have the cabin filter under the glove box. I was read somewhere that there are special filters that are installed under where the wipers are outside under the hood. Can the filter be there??

Don't think so. I am sorry but I don't know what to say. I just went out and looked at my 05. Under the glove box on the left hand side near the center console. The slider cover sticks down a little so you can see part of it without really geting under there. Maybe some models don't have the filter. I would just call the dealer and ask if your model has one.

On second thought... I just downloaded the owners manual from Chrysler.. this is what it says

So.. if you don't have the automatic climate control system, you don't have the filter I guess.

Default 2007 C&T Cabin Filter

Hope someone will read this even though it has been quite some time since this thread started. The same here. My 2007 C&T seems not to have the cabin filter. However, the smell of the AC is getting worse. Called the dealer and they asked me to bring and leave the vehicle so they coudl check it out. I guess, they charge $75/hr so that's how much would their answer cost. Anyway, if anybody knows how to check the cabin filter whereabouts by using the VIN (maybe even through Chrysler directly) it will be highly appreciated. Silly thing that standardization

Talking cabin filter

It took me a while but I found it! If you sit in the passenger seat, it is above your left foot. Look for sliding latches, cover is 2" BY 10" . Don't open glove box...it will hide it. Slide latches toward you and it pulls down then mine was so dirty, had to stick key in there to pull filter down enough to grab it and yank it out. Actually HUGE filter after you pull it out! Garbage and a little water came out too! Definately change your cabin filter! My 2001 van now smells freshly clean!
