2000 Cirrus 2.5L will not start, no spark after replacing timing belt
I have a 2000 Cirrus 2.5L that needed a water pump, I tore it down and made sure of the timing mark alignments before taking the belt off. Before bolting it all back together after putting the new water pump and timing belt on I rotated the engine a couple of times and checked the timing marks again and they were right on.
I also replaced the spark plug and plug wires, I had to remove the distributor cap to replace the wires, finished putting everything back together and went to start it and it turns over but will not start. I pulled one of the plug wires and put another plug in the wire and grounded it but I do not see any spark. The distributor and cap were replaced about 2 months ago.
I am at a lose and need some direction where to go next. What things to look at?
In the Chilton's and on a couple of other websites at the very end of the directions it indicated that you need to use a scan tool to "Relearn the Crankshaft and Camshaft alignment" after replacing a timing belt. Is this true and if so, will it keep the car from starting.

That was the trick! 1 of the 2 plugs on the distributor came unplugged. Runs like a champ. Thanks!!!

Quick question for you. I'm doing my Timing belt/water pump on my Cirrus but i cannot remove the rear cover on the belt. I took off the bolts at the back of the block(2 of them) plus everything on the side. Is there anything else i'm missing. My engine as been sitting on the jack all week long.
