95 cirrus v6 1 question (code)

RE: 95 cirrus v6 1 question (code)
Addording to my diagnostic sheet a code 44 indicates one of the following conditions:
1. Ambient Temperature Sensor
2. Battery Temperature Sensor Volts out of limit.
3. Battery Temperature Sensor Voltage too high (DTC P1492)
4. Battery Temperature Sensor Voltage too low (DTC P1493)
Strikes me that your battery itself may have a problem. If you have another to install and check your codes again, you may just need to replace it.
Now, I can't tell you where the temperature sensor for the battery is, but you may find some specific information at Autozone.com in the repair section. If not there, perhaps one of your local auto parts sellers can help you out.
Still, have the battery checked out first.
