I put a Flowmaster catback on my 3.6L and it will NEVER sound like a v8, why? Its a v6 thats why.
i did it as i wanted good SS pipes that should hold up a few years, and i liked the 44 Special DeltaFlo resonators.
then i cut the rear Flowmaster resonaters off and went and added Vibrant bullet resonators in the rear.
nice rumble at idle, a little drone at 2.5k rpm which goes away fast and its silent at cruising speeds.
acceleration sounds like i kicked a honey badger in the *** and is really loud but smooth.
i have about $2000 into the whole exhaust, but its worth it once you nail the sound you been looking for.
someday i hope to try the spiral internal bullets in the 44’s spot once i get bored.
