8 seats in a 7 seat grand voyager, is it possible ?
I have a 7 seat grand voyager that I don't really want to sell but I need an 8 seat vehicle. Does anyone know if it is possible to fit a folding split
bench sit in the middle row, and if so where do I get one. Thank you.

Hi, yes it is possible, the rear seats will fit to the middle row but the captains seats will not move back, there are loads of second hand bench seats available from eBay, just search for Chrysler voyager breaking and you will find them. You can use the seatbelts fitted too. Good luck.

i do it all the time for large families. you figure the majority of people that sit way in the back are kids so they'll have to climb over the middle seat... but so what, kids are monkeys anyway. put a rear bench in the middle. EVERYONE on this forum that has a minivan knows you can fold the rear bench flat. This proceedure does NOT work on sto-and-go vans.

Hello i also am looking to convert my voyager from 7 seats to 8 seats.
I have had the rear seats in the middle and found you had to pull the bar under the seat then move it forward to give anyone enough space to be able to get into the rear of the car.
Another problem would be insurance for the vehicle, as you would have to notify your insurer you had an extra passenger aswell as the dvla to change the class of the vehicle to a 8 seater.
They may ask for it to be tested for safety requirements.
But in all honesty I think the safer option would be to upgrade to a suitable 8 seater.

Hi, I don't want to rain on your parade, but your V5C will clearly state 7 seats. This will have to be amended before you speak to your insurance company to amend your policy. I can be done, but it is not as straightforward as you think.
