01 Concord wont start??? Please help!
Hey whatsup everybody!
Im posting this in hopes of somebody having an approximate guess on the solution of the problem at hand.
I have an 01 Chrysler Concorde with 160,000 miles on it. It wont start even though all dash lights work on car.
The morning of it not starting the engine light came on in the dash. The day before I had hit a few deep puddles but car worked fine. Thinking the engine light might go away sense nothing seemed wrong I went to go fill the car up with gas. Went back to fire the car up and the engine would not start. Everything else on the dash worked fine like I had plenty of juice but the car seemed like it had no battery to fire it. I took the air cleaner cover off of it today and the batter has an indicator window on it. It was black...does this mean I have a dead battery but it's enough alive to light the instrument panel up.
Does anybody have an idea where to start. I'm thinking get the battery tested first and then go from there.
Any suggestions?????
Thanks in advance!

It's been a while since I've seen one of those batteries with an indicator on it like that. How old is that battery anyway? You didn't indicate what happens when you attempt to start it. No crank? Click? Slow crank? Anyway, you are right about starting with the battery. Also check the battery and starter connections for corrosion. You might also want to check for codes with a scanner to see if there's something else going on.
