Default 3.5 Coolant Leak

Is the tube that runs under the intake manifold(the right side heater hose connects to it) known to develop leaks? My 3.5 seems to be leaking from that area. It doesn't look like the hose is the problem.

those tubes can rust out...I just spent 2 days putting back together my 3.5 97 concorde...the coolant tube coming under my left head front corner had rusted out..It had me thinking I needed to put in a head gasket. the back tube coming off the intake is same deal....a 2way tube that can rust out at the seam like mine did....PUll it and take a coarse brush to it to see if it developed a hole.

Question Fuel rail leak on 97 3.5 and a 2000 idle speed

Hi, I just got done spending 2 days fixing a coolant tube leak from under the left front head on my 97 3.5 concorde. I had taken the intake off and the left fuel rail thinking initially I had a blown head gasket. Just a new coolant tube that goes to the block was all that was needed.

Now, since I disturbed the fuel rails, the leak at the front on both sides where they U around and each attach to the block units holding the injectors. Seems like these cannot be disturbed or you get leaks.

Is there a fix such as new O rings and do they disconnect at the front or are these new assemblies? How much do these run?

I then installed new plenum gaskets while I was there since they had been leaking for along time......

However, I now have a 2000 idle as well.........I thought I rehooked all 80 vacuum tubes back up..
Should I be looking at the intake idle sensor at the back of intake? ...I no longer have the 'Check engine" light on..so I bolted the intake on correctly...

Thanks....I am brand new member today!

Any tube that runs outside the motor containing antifreeze can rust out and leak....especially in the rust belt of the country...

Hey I was just under my hood again of my 97 concorde..I think you have hoses mixed up..I always go from sitting in the car as right and left...then your left heater hose runs along side the driver side of engine block just below head...rt side goes to intake manifold....It is the left side if you are leaking there that goes to the block tube that I had to replace from rusting...You will need to get car up in air to see where the leak is.could be the tube or could be the hose....
