5w-20 availibity
I cannot find the oil I planned on using on my new sebring. I wanted mobil 7500 5w-20 nobody has it for sale around here. Its a synthetic blend. I dont really want to pay for the full synthetic. I have always changed my oil every 5k with the blended oils without a problem. I thought though witht his engine to every 3k since it has a history.
Anyways, are there any chains that carry this oil? I have tried:
Advance auto parts
Autozone
Pepboys
Sears

WalMart does has Mobil 1 Full Synthetic. I wanted a blended oil. I found Valvoline Durablend that in it right now. Wow was I amazed how thin 5w20 is, its like pouring water in there. I have a couple months now until the next oil change to do some research and get the best oil for my requirements.
I didnt know the swbring never had 2.7l sludge problems, I thought all 2.7's beofre 2002 were in the lawsuit.

Everything I have read on the 2.7 is the same. Does not matter what car it is in, it's the SAME engine. Experts recommend flushing the block every 6 months to help deter the build up of sludge. I would recommend getting rid of the car myself. Good Luck!
