Default 94 Concord Turn Signals/Hazard relay

I've been searching around trying to find out if a defective relay would cause the turn signals/hazard lights not to work. I think so myself, but I'm not sure where the relay is located, or even if it uses a relay. I'm thinking it might be hidden inside the BCM.

It's also possible, I suppose, that the problem may be inside the multiswitch, but I don't thik so as everthing else in that system works, lights, wipers/washer.
I didn't see any reference to it on the inside fuse panel, and I don't think it would be under the hood. Gotta be buried under the dash somewhere.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

There should be a flasher unit mounted under the dash near the brake pedal. It is supposed to be mounted on a bracket under the driver's side air conditioning duct. It controls both the turn signals and the four-way flashers, so you are right to suspect it.

Well, I found the combo relay/flasher unit, but that may not be the problem. I replaced it with one of those 3 prong flaser units, supposed to be for a 94 'corde, just to see if it would work. Nada, squat, nuttin.
I checked the fuses for both the signals and the hazards, and they appear O.K. I'll check them with my meter to be sure. That leaves the multifunction switch. Looks like a minor repair job next w/e.

Well, looks like a moot point anyway, as I've decided to get rid of the car. Too many other issues to deal with right now.
Rusted out rocker panels after the front doors.
Cracked right rear trailing arm.
Hacked up electrical.

Just out of curiosity, though, there is a large box to the left of the steering column with 2 out of 3 connectors attached. Would that be the BCM? I did notice that one of the connectors (that is connected [spliced]to the ground line of the flasher/relay) seems to have had 3 of the 4 wires cut off flush to the connector. I don't think this is right. It looks like some other owner did a hack and slash hookup for fog or driving lights.

Anybody want a 94 'corde for parts? j/k

Well, it's not the MF switch, that checks out fine. Gotta be the flasher module, which I finally found hidden up under a bundle of wires.

What I thought was the flasher relay module, wasn't. Not too sure what that relay is for, maybe part of the cruise or antitheft system.

If you're gonna keep the car, you might want to invest in a Haynes Manual to help guide the repair process. Their book number 25025 covers the vehicle.

Already have one.
I was trying to find out what that relay is for, but the schematics in the book aren't that specific.
