I don't know much about this part (don't even know if I spelled it correctly), but when I turned my air conditioner on my car made a horrible noise. I called the dealership and took my car in.
I was told it was the air compressor. I asked if it would be all right to drive the car if I did not use the air conditioner and was told that it would over time lock something (I don't remember what part he said) up in the car and it would cost more to have fix then than now. I had it fixed and now my husband is saying that nothing on the car would have locked up. Can anyone tell me anything about this and which is telling me correctly my husband or dealership?

 

A/C compressor not air and yes it would lock up over time if u used it its just like a bearing going out

if u put a new compressor on then u are good to go if not let me know where u live i might be able to help out
