Aftermarket radio issues
Hi Guys,
I need help big time........
I have installed four custom speakers in my Chrysler COncorde 2002. Two in the front door panels (6 1/2) and two in the rear (6X9). I have also installed a new JVC deck. I am getting power to my deck but no sound from the speakers. I know its not the deck because when I hook up speakers directly to the wiring to the back of the deck I get sound... I know its not the wiring harness I bought because I have also tried by-passing the harness which has now blown my chance of getting a new harness as I snipped the wires.
Does anyone know why or can help me with me my issue? I have tried the suggested wires with the correct wires from my deck and no work
Does the sound go to another area in teh car before the speakers or does it go directly from the deck wiring to the speakers..
Please help
Nick

I don't know about your Concorde but my Sebring has a separate amplifier under the passenger seat. It's part of the Infinity sound system. Other years and models have located the supplemental amp in the trunk.

The amp gets its power-on signal from the radio via 12 volt output from the radio. If your replacement radio has an output signal like that, you can probably use it to power up the amp. It's not uncommon for radios to have such a thing to drive a power antenna. Otherwise, you'll need to supply your own signal somehow via a switch or maybe from the ignition. If you can't get that to work, maybe you can just bypass the amp entirely and drive the speakers directly from the radio.
