Default Chrysler Grand Voyager Manual 02 Gearbox

Hi, When I am changing gear or sometimes when I am in gear if I press the throttle too hard all I get is lots of revs. I need to be gentle on the throttle in order for the gears to engage. 3rd gear is also a little stiff, are these problems connected i.e. is my gearbox or something related on it's way out? Thanks

Whats the mileage. Have you been changing the gearbox oil as per spec. Some people do not realise that the gearbox oil has to be changed. Most manufacturers fit gearbox oil for "life".

Think the OP was looking for help with a manual box, not auto.

If its a manual gearbox then is probably 99% clutch slip.
Either worn friction plate or damaged pressure plate.
