Default Fault Code U1055

I have an 05 T&C Touring and when I pulled into my driveway, the insturment cluster went out and I was not able to remotely lock the doors. Although, the radio and AC still worked. What was odd was that when I removed the keys and closed the door, the radio was still on.

I went back out a few minutes later and the cluster was running again and I got code U1055 which is SCP (J1850) Invalid or Missing Data for Primary Id

Any ideas here????

the cluster is all the lights and dials and indicators of every type that show on your dashboard. Most of them now a days are all on printed circut boards and need to be replaced when they act up like that. It will involve dismantling parts of the dash, and possibly dropping the steering column from the dashboard mounting strap. If you go slow it really is fairly easy, just a royal pain in the butt! Get yourself a Haynes manual for the vehicle b4 you start if you don't already have one tho.

You might also try completely unhooking each connector to it, then replacing it. A bit time consuming, but it might save the cost of an instrument cluster.
