Default Finding the right keyless remote for 2006 Town and Country

I'm trying to NOT go to the dealership and get another remote for my 2006 Town and Country.

The last 9 of the VIN is: 96b756815

I've got a working remote with this FCC number: m3n5wy72xx and with this part number: 04727347ae.

I've looked at several online sellers who say they have one for this car, but the FCC # and part numbers don't match up. I understand that they need to match?!? but I have no definitive answer regarding any of this.

Does anyone know of a keyless remote that will work with my car?

I'm sure I can handle the programming (as it's documented in the manual) but finding the right remote....that's the trouble.

Thanks,
Andy

The part numbers need to match. Call the dealer and tell him what you need. Then when they gives you the price ask them for the part number. There may be a newer version. Part numbers often get updated. Most of the time it's the last 2 letters. Yours is AE, the new one may be like AF AG AJ or whatever.

I have the same problem. I live in Chili and I donīt want to go to the dealership.

My remote has the same part number 04727347AE and FCC m3n5wy72xx, but I canīt find it in an online store.

Did you get your copy finally?

I have a key that i would hate to throw away. I'm pretty sure it was an extra key to a car I rented in California, but I don't remember which rental company I used. It's to a Chrysler and on the back of the key it says fcc id:m3n5wy72xx p/n 04727347AE ic 267F-5wy72xx

If anyone needs this key, I would be glad to send it to you.

The key has 3 buttons: Lock, Unlock and Panic

Awesome sentiment SoCal, but the problem comes when you try to programm the Vehicle with a used key...

During the programming process, The key is "ETCHED" with vehicle information that it has been "MATCHED" to....

Plus, If it is not a "FOB" but rather an Actual "KEY" it has been CUT already, so the chances of it turning the lock are slim to none.

But thanks for the generosity...it is appreciated greatly in these times we live in...

Default Chrysler key

Thanks DJinn. I had no idea the complexity of this so-called key. So do you recommend I throw it away? It's totally useless to everyone? Say the word and in the trash it goes.
