Default Huge Technology Jump 4 me

I have been used to features of a 1992 Caravan and a 89 Taurus. The 2005 T&C Touring and its huge technical advance is impressive.
I would never of imagined how interconnected things would get or ever think of having to inform the vehicle as to which features it had or did not have.
I guess it is time for me to get one of the CD's I seen sold with service manuals and so on and get familiar with the proper protocols and which repairs (if any) I am qualified to do and as to which ones I should have the service tech do, I definately do not want to do anything that may casue any future issues by accident.
