1st Chysler/1st post - 07 Aspen dead as doornail
Hi everyone,
So far till maybe 2d ago, we have been very pleased with our 07 Aspen. We had an issue with the MDS which was fixed with a new PCM. The dealer couldn't reflash due to the skim issue or something so it was sent to an expert that made it happen. We were happily driving for 2wks when she just dies in the driveway. No major bumps or curb jumps to speak of just a regular drive to get milk type thing. Anyway, the largest concern for me is that I have never had a vehicle without power to the ALDL connector. I cannot scan the computer at all and I have a no crank. I have tested just about every circuit in every panel and power flows through all of them. Body grounds, PCM grounds, etc all seem fine. The battery checks in at 12.7 and every other circuit works.
I have a schematic from an 08 Durango but it seems the starting circuits and PCM power circuits are a little different.
Aside from the current issues, I have been working on cars/trucks my whole life and rarely get too stumped. I don't want to tow it yet unless it isn't the PCM.
Thanks and sorry so lengthy!
Andrew.
