2002 sebring coupe 3.0 distributor issue
Hello, I just wanted to post somewhere the issue I ran into with a distributor from Autozone. I've been a Chrysler tech for 19 years and recently ran into a no start issue on an 02 Sebring coupe 3.0 when all was said and done the distributor turned out to be the issue, however the listing on AutoZone's website stated the Duralast distributor was the same for 2001 and 2002. The 2001 model year distributor is all by itself and not compatible with any other year. I had no idea like others on here that there were different pickup plates in the distributors. one has four blades and the other has only one. The 2001 distributor will start the car and run but will set codes for camshaft and crankshaft issues due to the PCM seeing only one square wave instead of four.(The PCM thinks the camshaft is turning something like 25% the speed of the crankshaft) I will post pics when I figure out how. LOL hopefully this will help someone when searching for answers online. thanks. We made AutoZone aware of this and they're suppose to call their headquarters and have the website changed.

thanks for the info. strange I've never ran into this problem before and I've put dozens of distributors in. I was going to switch the plates and see if it worked but I had to return the Duralast distributor and I was tired of the vehicle.
