I have a 96 Lxi 2.5 v6 Automatic. We have had it for about 10 or 11 years now and I take very very good care of all my vehicles. So the problem I am having is this. This is not the first time this has happened to me in this car, it also happened about three years ago, but never again until today. So while traveling about 35 mph or so (the first time it happened at about 55 mph) the battery light came on lightly, then the abs light came on lightly (almost a light flicker on both), then the front end locked up for about a half second or so and then realeased. I smelled brakes right after this happened. The rpms increased when this happened. So, if there is anyone out there that can at least tell me what the problem is/should be, I would greatly appreciate it. Any tips as to how or what it is going to take to fix it, that would be awesome.
