Instrument Cluster Repair on PT Cruiser
Hello,
Having an issue with the instrument cluster on my 2004 PT Cruiser Limited. A few weeks ago , I noticed an electric burning smell inside the car. ( never a good thing) then it stopped. Next I noticed one of the bulbs had burned out in the instrument cluster. No problem, I replaced all the bulbs with the correct ones from Mopar PC-74 but now only 3 of the six light. Thinking that a bulb usually doesn't smell if it goes out,
I contacted a couple of electric repair shops and they both said the cluster wasn't serviceable and suggest sourcing a used one from an auto recycler.. Do you agree?
